This unpaid internship involves an opportunity to learn and gain valuable experience by addressing and working on real world problems. In the project the Tiger Team will: 1. Identify a problem. 2. Quantify the situation. 3. Develop recommendations and solutions. 4. Create and monitor an Implementation Plan. 5. Identify potential sources of funding. The Tiger Team internship program seeks individuals with a combination of skills: 1. Project management. 2. Geographic Information Systems. 3. Grant writing. 4. Documentation. 5. Quantitative and qualitative research techniques. 6. Public outreach. Requirements: 1. 12 hours per week (2 days per week, 4-8 hours per day). Flexible on hours / days. 2. Seniors / Juniors. 3. Access to the San Fernando Valley. 4. Candidates receiving school credit are preferred. 5. Candidates not receiving school credit are acceptable. 6. Interest in the field of urban planning is a plus. TRANSPORTATION TIGER TEAM The Tiger Team concept provides a structure for individual students to experience the opportunity to work collaboratively in a group environment to create deliverable project results. This unpaid internship involves an opportunity to learn and gain valuable experience by addressing and working on real world problems.
