TransUnion’s Geo Code®* is a geographicalcoding product designed to assist financialinstitutions for compliance with federal regu-lations. These regulations require banks tomonitor where and to whom they grant loans.This add-on product allows the subscriber toretrieve a variety of critical data based on theinput of a street address.

Model profileDisplays empirically-derived scores to predicta consumer’s future credit performance.Other scores available estimate income, proj-ect recovery dollars and predict insurance risk.

***TRANSRISK NA*** TransRisk New Account*is a risk model that predicts the likelihood ofa consumer becoming 90 days or more delin-quent within 24 months.

Risk score factors are displayed numericallyor in text. Up to four factors are disclosedand are displayed in order based on their rel-ative impact on the final score.

***ALERT*** appears after model profileheading when Manner of Payment (MOP) is7 or greater, a negative public record or a col-lection is present on the file.

Credit summaryProvides a “snapshot” of all activity on theconsumer’s credit report.

• Available as an option covering either totalfile history or 12-month file history.

• “Total File History” or “12-Month History” isin the upper right hand corner of the creditsummary depending on the option chosen.

From left to right, headers in the first rowread as follows:

Total number of public records

Total number of collection accounts trans-ferred to a third party collection agency.These accounts are identified with a Kind ofBusiness (KOB) code of “Y”.

Total number of negative accounts (derogato-ry) with a current Manner of Payment (MOP)of 2 or greater.

Inquiry informationSubscriber inquiry information is displayedat the top of the report.

On every TransUnion Credit Report the inquir-ing subscriber’s TransUnion-assigned code,name, market area where the file resideswithin the TransUnion system, date the filewas created, and inquiry date and time (Central Standard Time) of the inquiry aredisplayed.

Demographic informationHelps verify consumer identification by providing:

• Consumer’s name, plus any known aliases

• Current address and date reported

• Up to two previous addresses, datereported on first previous address

• If available, telephone number, and mostcurrent and one previous employer (includ-ing addresses, position and date employ-ment was verified, reported and/or hired)

Social security number (SSN) if available

Date of birth if available

Phone append

Special messagesHighlights specific credit file conditions thatmay include:

• Mismatched information as indicated byTRANS-ALERT® or HAWK®

• Presence of consumer statement

• No subject found

A TRANS-ALERT* message (optional) appearswhen the input address, SSN or surnamedoes not match what is on file; or when aminimum of four inquiries have been madeagainst the file within the last 60 days.

HAWK* messages (optional) appear ifaddress, SSN or phone number have beenused in suspected fraudulent activity; or ifthe information is inappropriate on an appli-cation, such as a commercial or institutionaladdress; or if the SSN has not been issuedby the Social Security Administration or isthat of a deceased person as reported by theSocial Security Administration.

HSTNEG: There are two separate pieces ofinformation in this field. Both relate to histor-ical negative information on a tradeline.Historical negative information is defined asany Manner of Payment (MOP) of 2 orgreater, occurring in any month. The first halfof this field describes the number of trade-lines which have historical negative informa-tion, and the second half describes the num-ber of occurrences.

In this example, the HSTNEG field is 1–7. Theonly tradeline with any delinquency informa-tion is the first trade. The payment pattern is4455432111111111111. To calculate HST-NEG, simply count the number of positionswith a value greater than one. In this exam-ple, there are seven occurrences (values 4, 4,5, 5, 4, 3, and 2). This calculation does notinclude the current manner of payment.

Total number of trades. TRD value is the sumof RVL, INST, MTG and OPN values.

Total number of revolving and/or check creditaccounts (account types “R” and “C”)

Total number of installment accounts(account type “I”)

Total number of mortgage accounts (accounttype “M”)

Total number of open accounts (account type “O”)

Total number of inquiries

From left to right, headers on the second rowread as follows:

Highest amount ever owed on an account

Maximum credit amount approved by creditgrantor

Balance owed as of the date verified

Amount past due as of the date verified or closed

From the “TERMS” field on the account; sub-scriber-reported monthly payment

Percent of credit available for revolving,check credit and open accounts. Field is cal-culated by subtracting balance from creditlimit divided by credit limit.

Totals for second row headers are includedfor: Revolving and Installment Accounts(Mortgage, Open, and Accounts closed witha balance are not shown on sample report)

In the first example, the first half of the PAY-PAT field is 445543211111. The firstposition indicates the information reportedone month ago (MOP=4):

30/60/90 DAY COUNTER: The four parts ofthis field summarize any delinquency on theaccount. The first column represents thenumber of months being summarized. Thesecond, third, and fourth columns equal thenumber of times the subject has been 30,60, or 90 days delinquent, respectively.

In the first example, this field equals 20V 1/1/5. This means that 20 months’ data wasreviewed. The subject was 30 days past dueone time, 60 days past due one time, and 90or more days past due five times.

Type of account (R, I, M, O, C) and Manner ofPayment (MOP) code at which the account iscurrently reported**

InquiriesDisplays which companies have viewed theconsumer’s credit file over the last two years.Includes date the inquiry occurred, inquiringsubscriber’s TransUnion-assigned accountnumber and name.

• Available in a one or two column display

• If two column, inquiries are displayedeither left to right or top to bottom, by date

Consumer statementContains consumer’s explanation, in his/herown words, of facts or conditions affectinghis/her credit file.

“Report serviced By”Identifies the TransUnion office owning orservicing the credit report. This informationshould be used to direct consumers to theappropriate location in the event of anadverse action.

Trade information includes the following:

Abbreviated name of credit grantor withwhom consumer has an account

Consumer’s account number with the creditgrantor (may be masked or scrambled)

ECOA is a code representing the ownershipdesignation on the account**

Credit grantor’s Kind of Business (KOB) des-ignator and TransUnion-assigned reportingsubscriber number**

Collateral for an installment loan or type of loan

Date the account was opened

Date of last update on the account**

Date of account status**

Highest amount ever owed by the consumeron that account

Maximum amount of credit approved bycredit grantor

Balance owed as of date verified or closed

Number of payments, payment frequency,and dollar amount agreed upon

Amount past due as of date verified or closed

Explanation of dispute or account creditcondition, as reported by the credit grantor.

Date on which the maximum level of delin-quency for that account occurred

Dollar amount of consumer’s maximumdelinquency and the Manner of Payment(MOP) rating at the time

PAYPAT: The subject’s payment pattern,which is his/her actual rating, or Mannerof Payment (MOP), over a period of time.Depending on which option a customerchooses, either 24 months or 12 monthsof information will be shown. The default set-ting is 24 months.

The first position on the left of the first rowcorresponds to the account status of the pre-viously reported month. This will not corre-spond to the Manner of Payment (MOP) field,which represents the most recently reportedaccount status, usually the current month.Each subsequent field to the right corre-sponds to one month further back in time.

Public recordsPublic record information is maintained on aconsumer’s file in compliance with the FairCredit Reporting Act (FCRA). This informationis obtained from county, state and federalcourts and includes civil judgments, state taxliens, federal tax liens, and bankruptcies.

The length of time each record is held onTransUnion’s database varies by the type ofrecord.

CollectionsIdentifies consumer accounts that have beentransferred to a professional debt-collectingfirm.

Collection information includes the name ofthe collection agency providing information,consumer’s account number with the collec-tion agency, collector’s Kind of Business(KOB) designators and TransUnion-assignedreporting subscriber number (all collectionagency subcodes begin with a “Y”).

Also included are the ECOA designator,**date the amount was charged off by the origi-nal creditor, date the information was veri-fied along with an indicator code,** date theitem was turned over to a collection agency(shown as date opened). Also included areoriginal dollar amount of collection, the bal-ance owed as of date verified or closed,name of the original creditor, and an expla-nation of current account status as reportedby the collection agency.

TradesProvides an on-going historical and currentrecord of the consumer’s buying and pay-ment activities.

• Trades are available sorted by most deroga-tory followed by date verified or vice-versa.

• Payment pattern is available displayingeither 12 or 24 months.
