The Institutes are local research institutes established in partnership with ICF by universities, local governments and other organizations to share the world’s knowledge about the creation of Intelligent Communities.

Prof. Pat Utomi

Uzo Udemba

Mr. Udemba has over 30 years of business management experience and is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of The Udemba Group which is comprised of more than 20 market-leading companies in a range of sectors including oil and gas; health and fitness; real estate, engineering, and construction; research and development; food services; media and entertainment; and science and technology. Grew TrendCorp from inception to over US $20 million in annual revenue, now employing over 400 people. Additionally, Mr. Udemba grew the geosynthetics business to capture 80 percent market share in Nigeria. Mr. Udemba holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, with an emphasis in Civil Engineering from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Mr. Udemba is the visionary of this grand project and will be a critical asset in the development and management of Trend Media City.

Mr. Pat Utomi is a political economist, management scholar and a dynamic entrepreneur. His career spans a Presidential Advisory position in government at the age of 27, the distinction of being the first Nigerian to be named deputy chief executive of Volkswagen of Nigeria at age 32 and an academic career as one of the most senior faculty members of the prestigious Lagos Business School - PAN African University, from inception. He has founded and co-founded several enterprises that are key players in the Nigerian economy.

Andrew Kreig is a Washington, DC-based non-profit executive, attorney and strategic consultant with extensive experience with government and the communications industries. He helps businesses and opinion-leaders achieve goals through the Eagle View Capital Strategies and the U.S.-Nigeria Business Council. Also, he helps lead the Justice Integrity Project to advance legal reform and the Fixed Wireless Communications Coalition to promote critical wireless infrastructure. As CEO/President from 1996 to 2008 and earlier as Vice President/General Counsel, he led regulatory strategies at the FCC, Congress and before international bodies. He holds law degrees from both the University of Chicago School of Law and Yale Law School.

Former Congressman Jerry Weller (1995-2009) is Managing Partner for NWG Public Affairs LLC, a public affairs, strategic consulting and international business development firm with offices in Washington DC, Guatemala City and West Palm Beach, Florida.
