2.0 MODULE ASSEMBLY

1. Using the filter and LED specification sheets contained in this manual, choose theappropriate combination for your application.

2. Use the Tweezers to handle the filters and the gaskets. If the filter that you have selectedhas a mirrored appearance to a specific side, the mirrored-side should face the LED or thesample chamber.

3. Do not use excessive force when you are installing any of the optic components.

4. Use the filter gaskets(040-2012) as necessary to prevent the filter from moving inside themodule housing

*Safety glasses should be worn when installing the retainer rings.

5.0 CUVETTE SELECTION

♦ Polystyrene cuvettes are acceptable to use for fluorophores with wavelengthsbetween 350nm and 800nm.

♦ Methacrylate cuvettes can be used between 300nm and 800nm.

♦ Glass cuvettes may also be used at wavelengths above 300nm.

♦ Quartz cuvettes should be used for wavelengths below 300nm.
