he Inter-House Quiz Competition T(Seniors) was held on 8 July 2008. It was an exciting event. Mr Kushal Biswas, the Quizmaster, kept the audience hugely entertained with his witty remarks. There was an initial written round and the answers to the questions spelt GARDEN HIGH SCHOOL. Having got off to a rollicking start, the quiz became even more entertaining with a live round. Bhombol Guha, a Golden Retriever, was paraded before the teams amidst squeals of excitement. The question was in two parts – ‘Name the breed and explain why it is called a retriever.’ A bomkai was modelled by Ms Trina Dasgupta, and Mr Subhabrata Nandi (‘Subho Sir’ to everyone) modelled Nike gear for a

question on the logo. The fourth question was on a sweet that the teams were given to eat and identify. It was a kheer kadamba, as one team correctly guessed.

There were also questions for the audience and prizes were given on the spot for correct answers.First: Cedar House – Tathagath Tiwary IXB, Satyanu Bhadra IXB, Satyajit Mallick XB, Shinjan Mitra IXB (Reserve)Second: Oak House – Sutirtha Bhattacharyya VIIIC, Soham Bhattacharya IXB, Bhaswar Faisal Khan XA, Payel Paul IXB (Reserve)Third: Palm House – Agnidhra Ghosh XA, Sukanya Dey IXA, Priyanjana Pramanik IXA, Sohanu Ghosh XB (Reserve)Fourth: Chinar House – Binayak Basu IXB, Shinjon Pramanik IXB, Dhaibat Mukherjee XB, Aditya Saha XA (Reserve)
