The Rockstar

How a Rockstar and an A&R Man rely on one another

Write a list of the things an A&R Man does to help a Rockstar. Start at the beginning – they spot them and sign them to the record label, but then what? Explain why the things they do are helpful to the Rockstar.

Next write a list of things the Rockstar does which help the A&R Man. Remember that the music business is about making money, and that you need to get a good reputation. Explain how what the Rockstar does helps the A&R man.

2. How do they work with artists and organizations?

3. What would happen if there was no PRS?
