b. Apply Newton’s three laws to everyday situations by explaining the following:

• Inertia • Relationship between force, mass and acceleration • Equal and opposite forces

c. Relate falling objects to gravitational force

d. Explain the difference in mass and weight.

e. Calculate amounts of work and mechanical advantage using simple machines.

Participation: 100 point daily gradeCompletion of each lab: 300 points lab gradeSummary: 100 point test gradeDUE ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 4TH . THERE

WILL BE A LETTER GRADE DEDUCTION FOR EACH DAY THAT IT IS LATE.

If you miss a lab, you may get fake data from me, and you have to answer the questions on your own.

How will you complete this Activity?

Groups of 3 minimum.Everyone writes down their own information.

You are not allowed to watch and copy later.I will be asking you during the lab what you

are doing and why you are doing it. You must be able to answer those questions. (quote the standards to me)

You will limited to 4 class days to completely finish these labs.

The Inclined Plane Lab (100 points)Read the Inclined Plane lab.Copy the table and graph from the lab.Complete the lab by following the directions

exactly.Clean up and organize your lab area.You have until the end of the day tomorrow to

complete this lab.If you complete this lab early, start the Pulley Lab.

November 1st to complete this lab.If you complete this lab early, start the Lever

Lab.

following questions. Use all of the vocabulary words provided in

your essay, and underline the words when you use them.

Your Summary must be unique! NO copying from your team members!

Fill your Summary with specific examples and DATA from your lab.

You must turn this in by Friday, November 4th.
