1 DESCRIPTION

This pattern is a glass fibre line or composite measure in a case. The blade, which has a nominal length of 10 m and width of 16 mm, is fitted with an end ring. The first 20 cm of the blade is reinforced with a plastic backing strip. The blade is graduated in centimetres throughout the nominal length. Every 10 cm is numbered in black figures 10 mm high. Every metre is numbered in red figures 10 mm high with repeating figures 6 mm high. The tape blade is enclosed in a case of steel or plastic, with a winding handle. The case style is shown in Figure 1. 2 TECHNICAL DATA

4 LOCATION OF VERIFICATION MARK The mark of EEC initial verification is to be either impressed by heat on the reinforcing strip at the beginning of the measure or applied to metal rivets inserted in the reinforcing strip.

5.2 Having a blade width of 13 mm. 5.3 Having a blade fitted with an open spool frame of plastic (Figures 2 and 3).

5.7 Having the accuracy class amended to include class III.

5.8 Having the modification that no metal rivets are inserted in the reinforcing strip at the beginning of the blade.

5.9 Having the option for the alternative model designations “SPRINT” or “FUTURA” to be marked on the SF, SG or FT model case (Figure 5).

5.10 Having the modification that a plastic end ring is fitted at the beginning of the blade as illustrated in Figure 6. 5.11 Having alternative models describes in Table 2 below.
