iClicker 2 Remote Quick Guide for Students

Before you can begin using your iClicker2 remote, you will need to register the device. Follow the steps below to register your remote.

1. Log into D2L Brightspace. 2. Navigate to your course. 3. Click Content. 4. Locate the module that contains the iclicker registration link. 5. Click Register Your iclicker Remote.

6. Enter your iclicker remote id in the field. Your

iclicker remote ID is printed on a sticker located on the back of your remote. The ID is the 8-character code below the barcode. You can also locate the ID once you Power up the remote.

7. Click Register.

8. Your iclicker remote ID will appear along with the date that you registered.

To begin using your iClicker2 remote, press the Orange button (Power) to turn on the iclicker2 remote.

To answer multiple choice (A – E) questions using the iClicker2 remote:

1. After the timer begins, once you are ready to enter your answer for the question, press one of the A-E buttons to select your answer.

2. Your answer choice and a checkmark will appear on the screen indicating that your answer for the question was received.

3. Press the SEND button to confirm your answer. Note: You are allowed to change your answer before the time expires.

4. Before answering the next question, press the blue button (mode/refresh) to refresh the screen.

To answer numeric (123) and alphanumeric (ABC123) questions using the iClicker2 remote:

1. After the timer begins, once you are ready to enter your answer for the question, press the RIGHT button. An “A” will appear on the screen.

Press the UP and DOWN arrows to change the “A” to another letter, a number, or a symbol. Press the UP arrow to immediately select a letter. Press the DOWN arrow to immediately select a number or symbol.

2. Press the RIGHT button to move your cursor to the next character position on the right.

3. Continue entering characters until your answer is complete. Press the LEFT and RIGHT arrows to move your cursor backwards and forwards in the answer-entry line to edit characters in your answer.

4. Once you are done entering your answer, press the SEND button to confirm your answer. A checkmark will appear indicating that your answer was received.

Note: If time runs out before sending your answer, once you press the SEND button, CLOSED will appear on the screen.
