Design & Art Australia Online (DAAO)

• Open source, freely accessible, scholarly e-Research tool

• Presents biographical data about Australian artists, designers, craftspeople and curators

• Built upon the foundations of the ‘Dictionary of Australian Art Online’

Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN)

• Used by students and staff at the School of Chemistry, UNSW

• Based on software developed at the University of Southampton in the U.K.

• Data librarians developed a guide for assigning metadata to ELN posts as well as providing tailored advice to specific students

Data librarianship

• Develop understanding of issues in data librarianship

• Seek and carry out projects to gain experience in data librarianship

• Identify research data management services that UNSW Library could offer faculties and centres
