The purpose of this pipeline is to announce the reorganization of commodity teams located at JFK Airport to a configuration of 14 commodity teams. Teams 241, 253 and 261 have been eliminated. Merchandise assignments and personnel for those teams have been reassigned. Under this new configuration, each commodity team consists of a supervisor, two senior import specialists and several journeymen import specialists.

Attached for your reference is a current telephone listing for the JFK Commodity Specialist Teams and a revised list of their merchandise assignments based on the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States. The changes in assignment are indicated in bold print on the attached listing. The phone numbers for all teams remain unchanged except for CST 242 (whose new number is shown). As always, if you have any questions or issues to discuss, you should call the team’s main office number.

This change in tariff assignments is effective July 9, 2007. Please discard all previous editions and advise your staff to use this list to assign entries.
