The organization administers project certification and professional credentials as part of the U.S. Green Building Council. LEED Fellow is the most prestigious designation for the recognition of significant achievement in the green building, energy efficiency, and sustainability community. This year, only 35 professionals globally were so honored for their outstanding work as LEED Professionals. “William Amann is a remarkable individual who has long been a leader in the green building movement,’ said Rick Fedrizzi, CEO, GBCI and CEO Founding Chair, US Green Building Council. “His expertise and excitement motivates all of us to continue to look ahead to what’s next and to continue the innovation that has been the hallmark of our movement. Sharing his passion, knowledge, and commitment, William Amann anchors both the past and the future of our movement.” To be selected, LEED Fellows are nominated by their peers, undergo an extensive portfolio review, must have at least 10 years of experience in the green building industry, and hold a LEED AP with specialty credential, among other requirements. The evaluation process is carried out by the LEED Fellow evaluation committee and supported by the GBCI and the US Green Building Council.

USGBC NAMES WILLIAM AMANN 2015 LEED FELLOW

NEW YORK, NY October 20, 2015 – M&E Engineers announces that William Amann, President of M&E Engineers, has been named a 2015 LEED Fellow by (GBCI) Green Business Certification Inc. William Amann, PE, LEED Fellow, DCEP has been the President of M&E Engineers for over thirty years. In that time he has built the firm into one of the most recognized specialist, green engineering firms in the Mid-Atlantic region. The firm’s portfolio of Fortune 100 and government projects is a testament to his dedication to and promotion of innovative, sustainable, resilient, and energy efficient building solutions. A prolific speaker and educator, “Bill” is also former Chairman of the New Jersey chapter of the US Green Building Council, is a sponsoring member of Urban Green, the New York branch of the USGBC and is the current Chairman of the Somerset County Energy Council.

William Amann and the other 34 2015 LEED Fellows will be recognized in Washington, DC at the Greenbuild International Conference and Expo, which is being held Nov.18-20, 2015.
