What is the UDS Mapper?
An online mapping tool developed by the AAFP's Robert Graham Center, as part of the HealthLandscape mapping platform
Provides access to maps, data, and analyses developed for the Bureau of Primary Health Care by John Snow, Inc. (JSI) using UDS and other relevant data to visualize service area information for the Section 330-funded health center program
Compares Section 330-funded health center data to community/population data and shows spatial relationships between the program, community attributes and other resources

Section 330 Health Centers only ZCTA only If there are fewer than 10 patients from a grantee in a
ZCTA, those data are suppressed Census Data
From 2000 only Mismatch in numerator/ denominator for penetration
calculations ZCTAs
Changing/evolving ZIP Code boundaries
Calculation for penetration of low income population per ZCTA=
# Section 330 Patients (from grantees w/more than 10 patients in that ZCTA) from 2009 UDS
Total population at/below 200% FPL from 2000 US Census

What is the Med School Mapper?
Gives planners essential information for directing and evaluating medical school expansion and its impact on access to care and other social aims
Geospatially displays the community impact of US medical school graduates
A publicly accessible online mapping tool built by the Robert Graham Center as part of the HealthLandscape, LLC mapping platform
Funding provided by the Josiah Macy, Jr. Foundation mission to promote and evaluate the social responsiveness and mission of each medical school

Data in the Med School Mapper
2009 American Medical Association (AMA) Masterfile• Physician data are aggregated into counties• Goal is to capture EVERY American-trained
physician in the U.S.
Accuracy and limitations• Very little duplication of records (less than 0.01%)• Compared with other sources of information, the
AMA Masterfile lags in recording changes in workforce
• Surveys allow physicians to self-report their primary specialty and any secondary specialties they practice

Practical Use-Case
In this practical use-case we will consider a state and its medical schools, noting how well specific schools within the state (and the state as a whole) carry out their emphasis on social accountability, and also how well the schools manage to keep their graduates within their state of education and training.
