The DSC 3002 is designed in accordance with the recommen-dations and specifications of the IMO, ITU, ETSI and IEC for class A DSC equipment in the maritime mobile HF service.
The DSC 3002 is a Class A MF/HF digital selective calling (DSC) system with built-in watch receiver. With navigational input from GPS via the NMEA 0183 interface, the DSC 3002 will automatically include the vessel coordinates in outgoing messages.
In an emergency case, the DSC 3002 transmits DSC alert or distress call via the HMK-radios TRX 3015 or TRX 3050 by pressing the DISTRESS button.
For monitoring of distress alarm, the DSC 3002 incorporates the DSC watch receiver which provides continuous scanning of the six emergency frequencies (see technical data).
