DESCRIPTION
The RG Active TRAINING RACES offer the competitors an opportunity to gauge fitness, practise mass swim starts, swimming with others and to add a element of competition to your training in a relaxed and inexpensive environment. The Training races will create a series made up of 6 races spread throughout the summer season (June to Sept). The races will follow the same structure with the only things outside of your control being the British weather and the other competitors racing with you. This allows you to monitor your progress over the races throughout the season over the same course and having the series will enable you to try new things and make sure that you get a great workout as well as preparing yourself for your major ‘A’ races during the summer.

OPEN WATER SWIM – RACE 1
We would like to say a massive well done to everyone that attended and completed Race 1 of the V Cars Open Water Swim Race Series in 2013. A smaller field but easily the best quality field we have ever seen with lots of people taking on the challenge of the longer 2600m. Some very quick times posted which means the standards have been set very high for races 2-5 where you can come back and look to see how your swimming is improving over the same course.
