Halloween night two years ago a friendship turned into love and I was swept off my feet by a crazy Frenchman.

Since that rainy North Van-couver night we have realized that we want to grow old to-gether, travel to far away desti-nations and ride into many fu-ture sunsets — laughing every step of the way. Describe your fi rst date:

After the Halloween party, Rene invited me over to watch a hockey game at his place a few nights later — nothing too exciting. But, our best date was when Rene bor-rowed his friend’s motorcycle and he took me on my very fi rst motorcycle ride up to Squamish and through the dirt roads along the Squamish Valley River. Five hours later we made it back home. What an awesome day!How do you like to spend time together:

We were in Mexico in January of last year (a fi rst for

Duo promises to try new things togetherthat he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. He bought me a Mexican beach ring. Perfect. He did, however, ask again when he bought me my ring in June.

We were at his friend’s shop and he hid the ring in a motorcycle helmet and wait-ed for me to go to the washroom (which I never did and really, how romantic!) so he fi nally dragged me into the shop and pulled the box out of the helmet and asked again.

I guess the standard issue rules of hon-esty and listening to each other, but we both think that it is super important that we keep doing new things together, even

when we get old. Motorcycle rides, bike rides, vacations, who knows, maybe even hang gliding! We will make sure we keep common interests so that we can spend and make quality time for each other.What are your plans for Valentine’s Day?

We will be fl ying back from Ontario at 2 a.m. and then will be spending the day moving into our new place. We will cel-ebrate by making our fi rst meal at our new home and share a bottle of champagne, I hope!
