In any industry where you need critical standby power source it is utmost important to consider battery with high quality reliability and long service life.

The use of the gas recombination technology for lead acid batteries has totally changed the concept of standby power. This technology provides the user with new freedom for use in wide range of applications. The battery is complied to UL / CE / BS 6290 - Part 4.

Leadline range valve regulated lead acid sealed gas recombination battery is designed and are suitable for control and safety system, telecommunication power plant/distribution, emergency lighting photovoltaic solar systems, oil and petrochemical industry applications.

Leadline range have the added advantages over the traditional vented type as it gives the user ready for use when is delivered. The battery offer substantial saving on installation and maintenance cost as no topping up is require throughout the battery life. It have been tested in the field for many year with respect to charge and discharge characteristic cycle life.

The Leadline cells are supplied charged andbatteries are operated in parallel with the chargerat a constant voltage. It is important to floatcharged the battery in order to maintain in a fullycharged condition. The Battery needs to rechargeas soon as possible to ensure maximum protectionagainst subsequent power outrage. Early recharge also ensures the maximum battery life.

Recharge Characteristics

The voltage recommended for float charge, whichwill ensure the maximum life of the batteries, is2.27 at 20˚C with UI recharge method. Thesebatteries can operate over a temperature range of0˚C to 40˚C. To maximise the battery life, the floatvoltage should be adjusted closely to the yearlyaverage ambient temperature.

Float Charge

If it is necessary to reduce the recharge time, thebattery may be recharged at 2.35V – 2.4V per cellat 20˚C. For maximum service life, it is advisableto recharge with a current limit to 10% of the 10hrrate capacity. Fast charging should be stoppedafter 10hours or when 95% of recharged is reached.
