Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice have sold 80 million copies around the world, in which she describes the characteristics, customs, codes, relationships, behaviours, feelings, powers, lives and deaths of vampires who lived through history and even day among us. In this saga she theorizes a new vision that no one had had about their creation, the way they could extend their race, and according to the experts is one of the more realist theories that have existed about this topic. In every book she tells us an unusual story of their lives, even persuading the readers and making them like the way this vampires live. Memnoch the devil is one of the chronicles she created and a really different story than what we are used to read. In this book she makes the main character "Lestat", an arrogant, sarcastic, egocentric and confusing vampire that is one, if not the most, stronger vampire in earth, with the demon himself, which have a lot of names around the world but the one that likes him the most is memnoch. in this meeting the demon tries to convince Lestat to work for him, Lestat doesn't believe the demon arguing that he is a lier and he shouldn't believe him. To convince Lestat the demon shows him places in history including the creation and the via crucis, and places that no one can find in history like the heaven, the purgatory and hell. A lot of things are different than what we are used to think, but careful maybe can change your mind than what society had made us think. This book is my favorite because is really intriguing and exciting and is different to what we are used to read and when you start reading you cannot stop. However it is the sixth book and it would be better if you read the previous books. Anne Rice always travel to the places, in earth, where she writes, she investigates, talks to people, finds out the leyends and stories and reads about what she is going to write and she is a very integral person and an excellent writer. Personally I recommend this book, because you won´t get tired of her descriptions, her stories and the way she introduce you in the
