VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL PRAYER LIST

•Pray for God’s guidance for faculty and staff as we prepare for VBSthis year.

•Pray for spiritual understanding of the content of the Bible passages tobe taught.

•Pray for physical stamina for the workers during the week of VBS

•Pray for safety and health for all our faculty and students.

•Pray for spiritual direction in discerning the “teachable moment” foreach child and the extent of each child’s readiness for salvation.

•Pray for God’s watchcare, to avoid accidents, trials, temptations, anddistractions.

•Pray for wise use of time in planning, preparing, and teaching.

•Pray for a positive attitude of excitement and enthusiasm for each worker.

•Pray for a full sense of the joy of Christian service for each worker.

•Pray for relationships:

wUnderstanding, loving, helping relationships with thechildren in each department

wSupportive team relationships with other workers in thedepartment and school

wStrengthened relationship with GodwRelationships with spouse and family

wDeveloping relationships with the parents of each child enrolled,particularly the unchurched.

In addition to your special prayer partner, pray for needs for others such as:

•Our pastors as they lead in Vacation Bible School

•Our entire faculty as we work together for the advance of God’s kingdom

•Our VBS publicity as we attempt to reach 400 children from our community

•The Family Night service as we meet and witness to many parents new to ourchurch

•Our follow-up efforts to contact every child enrolled in VBS with an invitationto enroll him or her in Sunday School

•The children who attend, that they might:

wLearn more about the Bible

wLearn that God loves them and that our church family loves them aswell

wCome to know Jesus as personal savior or build the foundation for thatexperience.
