Vincent’s middle years In 1870 Vincent got a job at the Hague gallery, run by French art dealers, at the age of 16. Later in 1873 the Hague gallery transferred Vincent to London then Back to Paris in Soon Vincent’s desire to be an art dealer faded and then he began a ministry with the miners of Baronage. After a period of time from working in mining business, Vincent’s brother pushed him to become an artist.

Vincent’s later years• In 1881, after completing nine months of education in

Brussels, Vincent moved back in with his parents at the age of 27.

• He taught himself to draw and fell very found of drawing figures.

• Towards the end of 1881 Vincent moved from his parent's house and started taking art lessons from his cousin Anton Mauve.

• Vincent began a relationship with Sien Hoomik, a pregnant prostitute which had one child.

• He broke up with her to follow more artist and to learn more about art.

• Soon later Vincent lacked inspiration and moved back in with his parents to practice.

• When Vincent was 29, Vincent moved from his parents' house and worked in a make-shift studio in a room he rented from a Catholic church.

More of Vincent's later years• Vincent had the idea to make a great painting and drawing, that

would make his name respected in his community called the potato ears and it was a success but not in his lifetime.

• Later Vincent enrolled that year in an academy in Antwerp to become better in his art.

• He had moved to Paris to live with his brother Theo in the early 1886.

• Then he moved to Arles in 1888 hoping to create a art school• He suffered from many types of epilepsy, psychotic attacks, and

delusions, one such episode pursing Vincent to cut off his ear and offered it to a prostitute as a gift.

• Vincent was sent o a hospital and soon later he was sent to Saint-Rémy-de-Provence where he was put in an asylum.

• After he got better he painted in the asylum and then got sent back home in 1890 to his brothers home and continued to paint.

• He tried to commit suicide by shooting himself in the chest, and he survived but he died two days later on July 29, 1890, in Auvers-sur-Oise, France

The becoming famous part• After Vincent’s tragic death His older brother

Theo Took The majority of Vincent's Paintings and Drawings and collected them.

• Then, Theo’s widow took the collection to Holland and published them.

• After Vincent’s work was published Vincent became famous almost instantly.

• His reputation has been growing since.
