Sl st into top of 1st dc.Round 5: Ch3 (count as 1st tr), 2 tr into chsp, *tr1 , 2 tr into chsp, rep* 14 times more. Join with a slst in 3rd of 3ch. Fasten off. (48 sts)Round 6: Join next colour to top of any tr. Ch3, tr1 into same st, tr 3,* 2 tr into same sp, tr 3, rep* 10 more times. Join with a sl st in 3rd of 3ch. Fasten off. To make up:Lay the 12 different blocks out lengthwise and repeat the pattern but shifting one level up for the 9 rows. With right side of the blocks facing, the blanket is joined with a double crochet ridge in Natural (600).The blanket is bordered with a row of treble crochet in Natural, Pearl Blue and Dark Chocolate.

Special Stitches:

Magic ringBegin by wrapping the yarn twice around two fingers. Insert the hook through the centre and pull the working yarn through to create a loop. Work the required amount of

stitches into the ring. When first round is completed, insert a pencil into the centre and pull the tail end. Remove the pencil and close the ring firmly. Slip stitch into top of 1st st. Alternatively, ch4 and close the ring with a sl st.

PopcornWork 5 trebles into the next stitch. Remove the loop from the hook and insert the hook in the 1st stitch of the group that you made. Pick up the working loop that you dropped again and pull it through the stitch.

3 Looped Puff Stitch(1) Sl st into st (2) Ch2 (3) Yo, insert hook into same sp and draw yarn through st up to level of work.(4) Yo, draw yarn through st and up to level of work.(5) Yo, draw yarn through st and up to level of work.(6) Yo, draw yarn through all loops on hook (puff st made).(7) Ch2.

To Make:Make a magic ring.Round 1: Ch3, tr 15 in ring, join with a sl st in 3rd of 3ch.(16 sts)Round 2: Chain 3 (count as 1 tr), work 4 treble into the same stitch. Remove the loop from the hook and insert the hook in the top of the 3 chains at start of the group that you made. Pick up the working loop that you dropped again and pull it through the stitch (popcorn made),* ch2, sk 1 tr, popcorn, rep* 6 more times, ch2. Join with a sl st in top of 1st popcorn.(8 popcorns made)Round 3: Sl st into next chsp, ch 3, 5 tr into same space, *6 tr into next chsp, rep* 6 times more. Join with a sl st in 3rd of 3ch.
