Director, NITTTR Bhopal
PREFACE FROM THE DIRECTOR
National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training and Research (NITTTR),
Bhopal, established in 1965, has the vision to be the world class leader for
integrated development of technical education and training systems
catering to the changing needs while achieving highest level of client
satisfaction, quality, professional values and contributing to technological,
economic and social development of the country. In the context of the
National Education Policy 2020, NITTTR, Bhopal is intensively working to
design and implement those goals which are envisioned in the NEP 2020
and new to the whole country. In tune with the global needs, the institute
has already introduced outcome-based interventions for technical education system and in teacher
training in the western region. NITTTR Bhopal offers need-based technical teachers training
programmes every year based on training need analysis conducted and the felt needs of its
stakeholders. The training programmes given in this calendar are based on the training needs
assessment carried out in all the states of western region, recent developmental trends in the
country and feedback of participants of previous training programmes. The COVID 19 affected the
training significantly but NITTTR Bhopal conducted online training programmes, National level
webinars on accreditation and NEP 2020. We are still offering training programmes on online mode
considering the limitations of the participants and our faculty members. This Annual Training
Calendar has the details of the training schedules, regulations and procedures for registration,
assessment and other details related to participation in the various programmes. The training
programmes will be offered in online mode till we all are safe. We will inform the states and
institutions when we start contact mode programmes. This year NITTTR Bhopal offer During April
2021 to March 2022, the institute plans to conduct approximately 20 training programme of two-
week duration and more than 242 training programmes of one-week duration in which
approximately 10000 participants are expected to be trained.
In previous two years online system of application for participation in a specific training programme
was implemented to optimize the NITTTR Bhopal resources to better serve the states and institutes.
The same system will be effectively implemented in the year 2021-22. All the states, institutions and
faculty members are requested to follow the online system of NITTTR, Bhopal. State of Gujarat and
Goa have centralized training management system so participants from these states will be
confirmed on issue of order form respective DTE/Commissioner. Participation in any training
programme will be through invitation from particular training programme coordinator only. So,
application for attending training programmes will not be accepted through any other mode.
All the training programmes offered in the year 2021-22 are planned to be activity-based and all the
participants are expected to maintain their e-portfolio of learning outcomes. There will be post-test
to measure the impact of the training programmes. NITTTR Bhopal will issue the e-certificate to only
those participants who have attended all the sessions during the programme, created a portfolio up
to pre-defined level and successfully qualified in the post-test.
The application for the Training programmes is made online. For online programmes participants
may apply till 3 days before the commencement of the programme. The institute is also offering 6
programmes on Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) in the area of technical teacher education
sponsored by MHRD under SWAYAM Platform. 56 programmes for teachers of UGC/AICTE approved
institutes also planned nu NITTTR Bhopal- Teaching Learning Centre. All the faculty members of
technical institutions are requested to register for these programmes also.
We hope that all states and technical institutions would avail the opportunity this year with added
vigor to improve the quality of technical work force in the country.
Dr C Thangaraj
