Graduate programs include the MBA (the largest graduate program at the University), Master of Science in Healthcare, MS in Accounting and Taxation, MS in Hospitality and Tourism Management, and the Ph.D. degree program in Financial Economics. Executive Education Programs include an Executive Master of Business Administration Program and the Executive Master of Health Care Management Program. In addition to those academic areas, also oversee the AT&T Entrepreneurship Center, the Center for Economic Development, the Institute of Real Estate Research, the Division of Business & Economic Research, and the Hospitality Research Center (a Center of Excellence at the University). The College has 58 faculty members, with a student enrollment of approximatey 2600. The College of Business Administration produces 40% of all degrees conferred at the University. Serve as Director of the Lester E. Kabacoff School of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Administration in the College of Business Administration. In addition, serve as Director of the Hospitality Research Center. The Center is the premier hospitality and tourism research center in the nation and provides a variety of research services to numerous hospitality, travel and tourism organizations. Those services include conversion studies, economic impact studies, hotel industry studies, restaurant industry studies, tourism industry salary surveys, visitor profiles, tourism indicator projects, convention studies, etc. In addition, the Hospitality Research Center provides research for the Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism (CRT) of the State of Louisiana under the Lieutenant Governor. It provides the annual economic impact to the CRT annually for the state of Louisiana. The Center has provided numerous studies and findings for the recovery of New Orleans following hurricane Katrina. It created several seminal models to measure the resiliency of New Orleans post Katrina. The Center also produced longitudinal research on the effects of the oil spill in the Gulf on the hospitality and state tourism industry. Major Accomplishments at the University of New Orleans Created and funded the College of Business Administration Career Center in January 2012. This Center has been key in the retention of students. The Center provides counseling in resume building, coursework, career advising, and entrepreneurship. It also serves as liaison for students seeking faculty with expertise in their particular job focus. Expanded partnerships with community colleges by creating an articulation with a 2-plus-2 with Delgado Community College and the School of HRT in the College of Business Administration. Currently, have a signed MOU with Nunez Community College for a 2-plus-2 with the School of HRT.

Page 3 In January 2011, funded and began the Urban Entrepreneurship Program (UEP) in partnership with the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, a Kansas City, Mo. nonprofit known as the world’s largest foundation devoted to entrepreneurship. The program was part of the AT&T Entrepreneurship Center. Students from every college of the University have been afforded the opportunity to apply to the program. The partnership has resulted in the only university-operated accelerator program in the state of Louisiana. The program fosters job creation and promotes opportunities for economic profitability, individual and business success and organizational sustainability. Procured SourceLink from the state of Louiaiana. Funded and instituted SourceLink in the AT&T Entrepreneurship Center of the College of Business Administration in June 2013. SourceLink is the exclusive database of information for entrepreneurs in the state of Louisiana. It is used by numerous incuberators and entrepreneurs throughout the state. Funded and instituted an aggressive marketing campaign in 2011-2012 for the programs of the College of Business Administration, including the Executive Master of Business Administration programs, for each year as Dean of the College. Funding has been invested in billboard campaigns, newspaper advertisements in major newspapers, laminated points-of-pride cards for each department of the College, web advertisements, and several other promotional materials. Expanded the work of the Hospitality Research Center to include sporting events. In 2013, the Center completed contracted economic impact studies for the Super Bowl, Men’s Final Four, Women’s Final Four, All-Star Game and BCS Championship game. Have procured research grant funding as principle and co-principle of over $2.5 million at the University of New Orleans. Secured funding and invested $493,000 in the School of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Administration Building. This investment includes a courtyard addition to the building, and remodeling of the production kitchen, demonstration lab, and the dining room. Construction is also underway for a social science room and a property management room. Future funding is being undertaken for a wine laboratory, offices, and a larger dining room in addition to the current dining room. Substanitally increased scholarship funding by raising more than $600,000 for the College of Business Administration at the University of New Orleans. Successfully instituted and completed the AACSB Reaccreditation process and achieved full accreditation in 2011 for both the College of Business Administration and the Department of Accounting (individually accredited).

Page 4 Completed strategic planning in October 2011 for the College of Business Administration with a five year plan. The plan has proven very successful in moving the College ahead. Kansas State University (June 2002-June 2005) Served as Department Head of Hotel, Restaurant, Institution Management & Dietetics at Kansas State University. Programs overseen included a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, a Ph.D. in Hotel, Restaurant & Institutional Management, Bachelor of Science Didactic Program in Dietetics and Bachelor of Science Coordinated Program in Dietetics. Also served as Chair of the Graduate Curriculum; Person-in-Charge of the Grace M. Shugart Lecture Series; and member of the Kansas State University Leadership Committee, a group comprised of twelve leaders representing the university and community. The Leadership Committee initiated progressive programs to advance the university and community. Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (August 1998-May 2002)

The visit is a continuation of the collaborative efforts of both universities. Meeting with representatives from Hebei University, China, discussing collaboration between our universities. Served as Louisiana Delegate to the World Cultural Economic Forum initiated by the Lieutenant Governor and the Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism of Louisiana. Engaged in one-on-one meetings with International Delegates that included the Counselor of Education, Culture, and Science from The Netherlands Embassy, the Honorary Cunsul of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiury of Suriname, and the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea. Creator, organizer, coordinator and planner for the Hospitality & Tourism Summit held in the Morial Convention Center of New Orleans held on October 2-3, 2007. The Summit assessed the state of the industry in New Orleans and initiate key steps in the revitalization process. Members of the Summit included CEO’s and Presidents from the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau, New Orleans Marketing Corporation, the Superdome, Armstrong Airport, Mardi Gras World, New Orleans Hotel and Lodging Association, Louisiana Restaurant Association, Louisiana Symphony, Louisiana Orchestra, the Arts Council, New Orleans Restaurant Association, Morial Convention Center, and others. The Summit resulted in the largest and most comprehensive meeting of hospitality and tourism leaders across multiple segments ever held for New Orleans. Planner and coordinator of the 2007 Business Seminar “The Hospitality Industry: Restoring the City’s Jewell.” The Seminar brought together the leaders of the New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation, the Board of the Ernest N. Morial New Orleans Exhibition Hall Authority, the Greater New Orleans Chapter of the Louisiana Restaurant Association, the Greater New Orleans Hotel and Lodging Association, and the Board June 2007. Coordinator and planner of the Business Seminar “The State of the Hospitality/Visitor Industry: One Year after the Hurricanes of 2005”. In response to the request to replicate the forum presented on August 6, 2006, this Seminar was conducted three weeks later. The Seminar was presented on August 30, 2006 with the New Orleans Convention Visitors Bureau, the Greater New Orleans Hotel and Lodging Association, and the New Orleans Restaurant Association.
