7 Blue Medora VMware vRealize Operations Management Pack for VCE Vblock Installation amp Configuration Guide

5 Configuring the Management PackAn adapter instance must be added before Vblock system resources can be discovered You can create multiple adapter instances Every adapter instance requires its own System Library host

Configuring the Management Pack includes the following tasks

bull Creating an Adapter Instance bull Adding System Library CAS Credentialsbull Changing the Adapter Collection Interval (optional)

51 Creating an Adapter InstanceYou must create an adapter instance for each System Library host Unless manual discovery selected the adapter automatically discovers resources and begins querying them

511 Before you beginbull Install the Management Pack for VCE Vblock Refer to section ldquo4 Installing the Management Packrdquobull The Adapter connects to System Library hosts using Fully Qualified Domain Names (FQDNs) Check with your VCE Vision Administrator for the appropriate FQDNs

512 Procedure1 Log in to vRealize Operations as an administrator2 Click on the Administration navigation shortcut ( ) The Solutions view should automatically open3 Select lsquoVCE Vision Adapterrsquo from the Solutions list
