HueHue is another word for color. The attribute which describes colors by
name, i.e. red, blue, yellow etc.
Vanishing PointIn linear perspective, the point on the horizon line where parallel lines appear to converge.
One-Point PerspectiveOne-point perspective is a type of linear perspective. All categories
of linear perspective include a horizon line and a stationary point (the position of the observer). In one-point perspective, only one vanishing point exists; lines radiate outwardly from this point, and
perpendicular lines meet at this point.
Two-Point PerspectiveTwo-point perspective is a type of linear perspective.
All categories of linear perspective include a horizon line and a stationary point (the position of the observer). In two-
point perspective, there exist two points from which an object’s lines radiate from; the sides of the object vanish to one of two
vanishing points on the horizon line.
Aerial PerspectiveCreating a sense of depth in painting by imitating the
way the atmosphere makes distant objects appear less distinct and more bluish than they would be if nearby. Also known as atmospheric perspective.
PatternThe repetition of an element (or elements) in a
work.
PixelThey are basically small dots that make up pictures on a computer, but you can’t see them individually because they are
so small.
Vector-ArtVector art is a form of digital illustration. Knowing how to use vector-based illustration is a
prerequisite for almost every graphic design job due to its many applications in commercial media. Vector-based artwork is entirely dependent on computers because it is driven by
complex mathematical equations. Though it is relatively new, many beautiful illustrations and compelling advertisements have been created with vector art.
ThemeThe subject of a talk, a piece of writing, a
person's thoughts, or an exhibition; a topic
OpacityOpaque paint does not allow the light to
transmit through the paint. This is important for covering imperfections and
for retention of true color in many instances.
