From russia with talent, anna Kotlova has brought her passion for painting and photography to the tampa Bay area. inspired by artists, Luis roya and valejo, her passion is fantasy art. Born in Kislovoksk, russia, anna came to the United states at 19, and is an exceptional and driven young woman whose flair for fantasy art is only the beginning.Six years ago Anna began her photography career taking pictures of her best friend and model /designer alla K. starting out with a small camera and no formal training she laid the groundwork for what would be a career. “Photo-graphy allows me to explore, create and try new things”, anna says. there seems to be no end to anna’s artistic talents. along with photography and painting, she is a fashion designer in her own right. her fashion line includes accessories, belts and swimsuits. she also enjoys interior design and as with all her interests she brings passion and love to her work. add in a Bachelors Degree in Business Management and the possibilities are endless.

anna has many goals, including traveling around the world, exploring new places and of course making her parents proud. her dream is to have a gallery to display all of her works and be known internationally for her work. her love of people and her desire to be part of the special moments in their lives shows in her photography. “From weddings to newborns, from runways to body art. i love it all!” says anna.

her photography has a natural feel to it . anna feels her achievements in photography are because she takes the pictures the way she feels it. without any formal training, anna follows no set rules. with the amount of talent she possesses she can set her own.

rench Couturier Paul Poiret said of artists, “It seems to me they are all my colleagues.” And so it seems artist and shoe designer Mark Schwartz is his

own best friend. With high heeled shoes his muse, Tampa’s Mark Schwartz is garnering worldwide attention for his unique interpre-tation on women’s footwear.

During Marks 20’s , while serving as an apprentice with famed shoe designer Roger Vivier the artist met the man that would change the course of his professional life. Viviers’ friend, pop culture artist Andy Warhol took an interest in the young shoe designer and acted as friend and mentor for what would be the last four years of Warhols life. The designer had now crossed over the

thin line separating fashion and art. Move over Monet, high heeled art is now gracing the walls of dentists , doctors and corporate offices all over the world. These fun, colorful and unconventional works of art are taking the place of the typical pieces we find decorating” Corporate America. “The de-signs Schwartz says come from his head 99% of the time but has been commissio-ned to paint a particular design. While he may incorporate other themes his painting are always shoe oriented.

Luckily for all lovers of fine shoes, Mark Schwartz has not given up his love for design. His high end, private collection is available to his upscale client base. Though not available in stores he designs for clients,

including Oprah Winfrey and Natalie Portman. Miss Winfrey is also a fan of his art, with his works hanging in her home and Harpo Studios.

While Mark Schwartz has spent a large part of his life creating things of beauty, the artists greatest accom-plishment may be his 10 year old son. When asked what his hobby is he answered “My son, he’s my constant companion and that’s all I need.”
