Where is Universit Sainte-Anne?

Why come on the trip?To practice French in an authentic settingTo develop leadership skillsTo hear new French accentsTo meet new people from around the worldTo strengthen current friendshipsTo make lifelong memoriesTO HAVE FUN!CostThe trip will cost around $300. This will include the cost of :Food (except for one bagged lunch)Bussing ProgrammingAccomodations

There is a $20 deposit due before Christmas break to reserve your spot. We will have a definite price soon.

There will be opportinity to fundraise.

University Life 101Each morning, teachers will wake students around 7:30. Showers are shared between about 8 people. Activities will begin after breakfast. Sometimes they will be in a large group and sometimes divided into smaller groups.There will be very little free time.Students will enjoy meals at the cafeteria, where there are many food options to choose from.Around 10 oclock, students should be in their rooms, with the lights out.Boys and Girls will be seperated and will not be allowed in each others rooms. The common room will be used for social gatherings.

French RuleStudents are expected to speak French at all times on the trip. From the moment they arrive at Redcliff until the moment that we return to Redcliff, there should be NO English.The University policy is that there are 3 warnings After 3 warnings, you will be sent home

JournalEach night after supper, students return to their dorm rooms and write in their journals. A dictionary and writing utencils would be useful to bring for this assignment. Any students not attending the trip, will be required to complete a similar assignment to reach outcomes that will be covered during the trip.

What to bring?SneakersA Towel or 2A bathing suit (one-piece for girls)Weather appropriate gear (We will be outside A LOT!)An extra set of clothesBathroom essentials (Shampoo, soap, toothpaste, etcAny medications should be placed in a ziplock bag along with detailed instructions and given to homeroom teachers prior to leaving.Please pack light because we have so many students and not a lot of space on the busses for luggage.

TechnologyCurrently, students are allowed to bring an i-pod or an e-reader on the bus. When we stop for lunch, they will be placed in ziplock bags and given to teachers. Teacher will return them on the way back to Redcliff.

Cell phones are not permitted on the trip.

Cameras may be brought, but we do take a group photo at the end and give a copy to each student.
