    Vice President/Director - Human Resources Leader (Relationship Leader), Technologies - August 1997 to December 2009

    Human Resources Relationship Leader strategically supporting American Express Technologies Division responsible for identifying and fulfilling the human resources needs of three global technology executive teams with over 1500 employees globally, as well as, regional responsibilities that include Salt Lake City, Utah;Phoenix, Arizona; and Houston, Texas. Provided consultative services to clientswith respect to recruitment, compensation, development, employee relations, organizational design, and change management by leveraging internal and external partners. Matrixed leadership responsibilities supporting global clients, colleagues, and direct reports. Significant accomplishments include:

    - Lead negotiator on two major out-tasking Technology initiatives. Successfullynegotiated benefits, compensation and retention packages for both deals. Transition rate of employees to out-task partners was at least 98% which resulted insignificant severance saves. Led Change Management agenda for Technology Operations out-tasking initiatives.- Identified an aging workforce in the Technologies Division and addressed it bydesigning from concept to delivery an American Express Technologies Retiree Network, which is a highly-secured corporate social networking website for retireesto socialize with one another and return for short duration assignments. Thirt

    y-three percent of the eligible retirees are members and on an on-going basis, up to twenty retirees are on assignment.- Chair of the Wellness Committee for the Healthy Living Campaign in Phoenix focused on employee engagement and communications. This campaign is designed to offer a broad range of health management information and tools to encourage healthy living for our employees.- Partnered with senior Technology leaders to deliver re-engineering saves by coaching leaders on employee impacts, developing communication strategy, delivering leader training sessions that reinforced exemplary leadership behaviors and legal compliance.- Partnered with Technology Leaders to design and deliver a technology role framework which reduced technology job tiles from 180 to 56 and provide in-depth jobrequirements and career paths for employees.     to newly defined roles.- Designed in partnership with Human Resource colleagues a Phased Retirement program which allowed employees nearing retirement to reduce their work schedule from full-time to part-time to eventual retirement over a one-year period and knowledge transfer to their successor.- interfaced with the American Express Benefits group, and led the transition toHigh Deductible/Health Savings Accounts from HMOs. Provided training and support for our 3000 employees on the Phoenix campuses.- Led the employee stream of the Technologies spin-off of Ameriprise from American Express. Worked closely to place technology employees in Ameriprise and American Express and avoided $971K in severance costs.- Led the design of four American Express Technology Employee Networks. Over 700 technology employees were actively engaged to increase their skills in project
