The Science Museum of Virginia resides in Historic Broad Street Station – built nearly 100 years ago.Once an active railroad station that transported people all over the country, now a gateway to the universe.

The Dome houses the most technologically advanced fulldome digital dome projection system in the world. Guests depart on daily Cosmic Expeditions with our astronomer to explore the known universe with stunning clarity and brilliance.

The Museum’s most ambitious gallery in its history, Speed, features the SR-71 Blackbird and unveils the mind-blowing intersection of motion and time. The exhibition displays audacious demonstrations of the superfast to the incredibly slow, with topics ranging from climate change to anatomy to physics and beyond.
