RehearsalRehearse your presentation –
to yourself at first and then
in front of some colleagues.
MAKING THE PRESENTATION
• Greet the audience
(for example, 'Good morning, ladies and gentlemen'), and introduce yourself to them.
• Tell the audience what you are going to speak about.
HOW CAN YOU ATTRACT AUDIENCE?
SOME DO’S
• Dress appropriately for the occasion • Use positive body language• Balance your body on both legs• Keep hands out of the pocket • Keep eye contact with the audience • Keep a smiling face• Change pace / delivery, but not too
• Keep the presentation short by focusing on the information
• Try to Make the start and end touchy
• Look cool, calm and feel easyBe clear and audible
(Neither shout nor whisper)• Deliberately pause at key points
– emphasizing the importance of a particular point
• Use sense of humour
Some DON’T’S• Don’t lean against the wall• Don’t stick to dais • Don’t bend a lot• Don’t cross your arms behind your
back• Don’t repeat the things • Don’t rush or talk deliberately slowly
(Be natural)• Don’t joke – always disastrous unless
you are a natural expert• Try to end it with quotation
SET UP• Go to the class/meeting room early • Check out seating arrangement /
sound / visual system• Sit on the chair of audience to
check out so that the audience may not have any problem
Murphy’s LawIf anything can go wrong, it can be any time/ any stage, especially at the last moment (So be ready).
If it happens, relax and collect your thoughts again.
ALWAYS REMEMBER!
The more prepared you are, the less worried and
more effective you will be.
At the end have QUESTION & ANSWERS SESSION
• Listen to the questions attentively and patiently
• Don’t let the question seeker down
• Don’t be offensive• Provide facts and logics rather
than your opinion
REMEMBER!
“You are better than no one and
no one is better than you.”
