The Holland & Sherry wallcovering collection was born out of our longstanding devotion to fine quality and surface. Our portfolio of textured, printed and painted designs explores countless techniques in handweaving as well as innovative printmaking.

Since our inception in 1836, Holland & Sherry has strived to deliver the extraordinary in textiles. The wallcovering collection represents decades of collaboration drawing on the inspiration yielded by centuries of history. Our goal is to blend the old and the new and further push the boundaries in custom.

Abaca is a very fine natural fiber harvested in the Philippines. The quality of the fiber combined with a very tight weave structure gives the wallcovering a “horse hair” feel. The dyes used to create the abaca collection are solely water based and contain no volatile organic compounds.

* Our natural wallcoverings are handmade and small color and fiber variations may occur. These are not considered flaws but beautiful and inherent characteristics of the product. Please inspect goods thoroughly before cutting as no allowances will be made on trimmed wallcovering.

Sisal is a slightly more coarse fiber than abaca but with the same beautiful and durable traits. Our collection is woven with the warp cotton yarn and the weft sisal crossing one hundred times per square inch. This creates a very tight weave with no knots or hairs protruding from the wall. The dyes used to create the sisal collection are solely water based and contain no volatile organic compounds.

The Metallics combine the beauty of the fibers with glowing metallic threads. The threads are twisted with the natural material to subdue the shine and let the metallic disappear into the design. Some patterns incorporate gold and silver mylar backing beneath the fibers to bring more depth to the surface. Jute is what is considered “traditional” grasscloth. The weave is slightly looser and the slubs, knots, and twists are accentuated to add an element of heavy texture to the wall. The dyes used to create the jute collection are solely water based and contain no volatile organic compounds.

The patterns were chosen to reflect the tailored look of our fabrics but also incorporate the artisan weaving associated with these papers. Produced using palm tree leaflets harvested deep in the Madagascar jungle, the Raffia collection for Holland & Sherry is our most textural wallcovering yet. Our raffia is cut, dried, woven, backed, and then finally painted with differ-ent treatments to bring more beauty and interest to the surface. Please remember that raffia represents a very natural look and small variations in weave will occur.

The Linen-Rayon box cloth collection features a very rustic, almost hemp style weave but with a polished finish. Be-cause of its loose weft design, the wallcovering should be overlapped and double cut to insure minimal fraying. This wallcovering requires an experienced installer.

All textured wallcoverings are in-stock unless otherwise noted on paperwork. Printed and painted desings are made-to-order.

All painted orders require a control sample for production to begin unless client provides signed waiver.

Upon receipt of goods, fully inspect all rolls to ensure that you have received the correct color and pattern.

Check for possible color variations and other technical defects prior to cutting any rolls or hanging any wallcovering.

Do not cut or hang any material until you have fully read the hanging instructions and undertaken a thorough inspection of the goods.

No claims are made for material costs after the installation of more than three drops. Absolutely no claims will be accepted for labor or incidental costs.

Only fully uncut rolls in the original factory wrapping will be accepted for return, provided they are returned within 30 days of receipt. All returns are subject to a 35% restocking fee with freight prepaid.

Holland & Sherry recommends using a guild-certified wallcovering installer (www.ngpp.org).
