1 Mount Your Weather RadioPlaceyourweatherradioonaflatsurface,suchasadesk,shelf,ortableormountitonthewall.Tomountitonthewall,youneedtwoscrews(notsupplied)withheadsthatfitintothekeyholeslotsonthebottomoftheweatherradio.1. Useapenciltomarkthescrewlocations311/16in(94
mm)apartonthewall.2. Drillaholeateachmarkedlocation.Threadascrew
intoeachhole,makingsureeachscrew’sheadextendsabout¼in(6.5mm)fromthewall.
3. Alignthekeyholeslotsonthebottomoftheweatherradiowiththescrewheads,andslidetheradiodowntosecureit.
4. Extendtheantenna.

Install Batteries1. Slideoffthebattery
compartmentcovertoremoveit.
2. PlacefourAAbatteriesinthecompartmentasindicatedbythepolaritysymbols(+and–)markedinside.
3. Replacethecover.

the segments are lit, the batteries have full power. The number of lit segments decreases as battery power decreases.
• Dispose of batteries promptly and properly. Do not burn or bury them.

OFF WhenALERTissettoOFFandanalertbroadcastisreceived,analertsoundsfor10seconds.Theradioautomaticallyswitchestotheweatherbroadcastforfiveminutes.PressWEATHER/SNOOZEtoswitchfromthealerttonetothebroadcastbeforetheradioswitchesautomatically,ortostopthebroadcastbefore5minutes.

• Use only fresh batteries of the required size and type.• Do not mix old and new batteries, different types
of batteries (standard, alkaline, or rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries of different capacities.
• If you do not plan to use the weather radio with batteries for a week or more, remove the batteries. Batteries can leak chemicals that can damage electronic parts.
3 Listen to a Weather ChannelWhenyouturnontheweatherradiothefirsttime,allLCDsegmentslightforafewseconds,andtheautomaticchannelsearchbegins.Whenanactivechannelisfound,Êappears.Ifnochannelsaredetected,©flashes.1. PressWEATHER/SNOOZEtolistentotheweather
