Fun Handwriting Activities Dear Parents/Carers Here are some fun and engaging ways for your child to practise forming letters correctly. We have included a mix of art, indoor, outdoor and online ideas for you and your child to choose from. Avoid your child becoming bored and mix it up! Pick a different activity each day. P1 Team Chalk It Up Use Chalk to practise forming letters on the ground, in your garden or in a safe place whilst you are out and about on your daily walk. Shaving Foam Spread some shaving foam into a tray and have a go at this messy but fun way of handwriting practise. Everyone will smell amazing after this activity! Sparkly Letters Spread some glitter into a tray and form the letters in a magical and sparkly way. You can also use salt as an alternative to the glitter.

Make sure you start gluing the letter where you would start if you were forming the letter. This is great because you can find a place in the house to display your letters and start your own art gallery.
