AgendaWEConnect International is a corporate-led non-profit that helps build sustainable communities and economic growth by empowering women business owners to succeed in global markets – our goal is to connect up more majority owned women’s businesses into the corporate supply chain. Since 2009 we have provided certification resources, mentoring and peer/corporate connections to businesses based outside the United States that are at least 51% owned, managed and controlled by one or more women.

WEConnect International corporate members represent $700 billion in annual purchasing power and are true pioneers in inclusive sourcing and global supplier development. In Europe, WEConnect International is the leading advocate of women-owned businesses as suppliers to global and national corporations and government bodies. As well as spearheading the drive to connect women-owned business and multinational corporations, we are facilitating the building of strong networks for women by introducing them to procurement officers of top corporations and to other certified women owned firms in order to enhance their bidding capacity and to increase the opportunity of business to business contracting.

Our mission is to ensure that:

• majority-women-owned businesses (51%+) are given fair and equal access to corporate and public sector procurement opportunities locally, nationally and internationally

• corporate Europe and government agencies throughout Europe understand and are able to benefit from the diversity, innovation and brand value-add that women owned businesses bring

• majority owned women’s businesses are given access to contracts; not preferential treatment

We work with:

• multinationals and government departments who recognise the benefits of widening access to their supply chains

• women-owned businesses who want to connect with corporates and demonstrate to them just how good they are
