IGNOU PhD in Computer & Information Science:-
PhD Programme in Computer Science was launched in January 2009.
The objective of theProgramme is to train in research methodology,
and to inculcate the spirit of innovation andresearch among the
qualified faculty, scientists, engineers etc. required for the
expansion offundamental knowledge and technological innovation
through research and development, as wellas to meet the requirement
of institutions of higher learning.
Minimum Duration: 2 Years
Maximum Duration: 5 Years
Course Fee: Rs. 14,000
Minimum Age: No bar
Maximum Age: No bar
Eligibility:- Master's degree or an equivalent degree from any
University or a recognised Instituteof higher learning in any
relevant branch of Science / Engineering & technology with at
least 60percent marks.
JNU Phd in Computer Science:-Eligibility:- Master's degree or an
equivalent degree from any University or a recognised Institute
of higher learning in any relevant branch of Science /
Engineering & technology with at least 60percent marks.
Candidates enjoying employed status and selected for admission
shall be required to produceLeave Sanction Order for a period of
two years at the time of admission/registration. However,there is a
limited provision for exemption of this requirement to candidates
employed in researchand teaching Institutions located in NCR.
Application Forms and Prospectus can be obtained through Post by
sending a request along withcrossed Bank Draft (valid for six
months) for Rs. 300/- drawn in favour of Jawaharlal NehruUniversity
payable at New Delhi along with a self-addressed (unstamped)
envelope of minimumsize of 30 x 25 cms with the words "Direct
Admission to Ph.D. Programme" inscribed on it to theSection Officer
(Admissions), Room No. 28, Administrative Block, Jawaharlal Nehru
University,
New Delhi - 110067 throughout the year.
Application Forms and Prospectus will also be available at the
Counter in the Administrative Blockof the University on cash
payment of Rs. 200/- per set from 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and 2.00
p.m.to 4.00 p.m. on working days (Monday to Friday) during the
following periods:
(i) From 7th February to 21st March, 2011 for admission in
Monsoon Semester(ii) From 1st September to 14th October, 2011 for
admission in Winter Semester
Application Forms received upto 21st March, 2011 will be
considered for admission in Monsoon
