Welcome to the
Annual Foundation Learning Conference:
Putting Principles into Practice
The key Hertfordshire principles
• Involve effectively all provider sectors to secure the FL entitlement in Hertfordshire
• Place progression destinations at the heart of the collaborative design of quality, personalised FL programmes to ensure continuity and coherence for learners across the 14–19 age continuum (25 years for learners with learning difficulties and disabilities)
A few more principles
• Focus FL provision on learner needs, with due regard to equality and diversity
• Build on the best practice and strengths
• Provide workforce support and training
