Marsden Cove Marina hosts New Zealand’s most convenient Port of Entry Customs clearance facility, with easy, all-tide access to a protected Quarantine dock and well-appointed, international standard marina. Located just inside the Whangarei Harbour entrance, Marsden Cove is just �8nm further from Suva, Fiji than Opua. It offers both ready access to the ocean and the main highway south to Auckland, as well as a variety of retail shops, restaurant and services in an attractive setting.

Whangarei Town Basin Marina, along with Riverside Drive Marina, is located in the heart of Whangarei City, approximately �� nautical miles inland from the harbour entrance. BEAUTIFUL SCENERY & VIBRANT CULTUREThe harbour marinas are at the heart of the city and there is always a vibrant social scene where you can make new friends and reconnect with old ones. The colonial style waterfront at the Town Basin Marina houses galleries and speciality shops; cafés, restaurants, the new Art Museum, art park, heritage walkway and a playground. A wide range of amenities is only minutes away, often within easy walking distance.

With access to both coast and country, Whangarei’s award-winning restaurants and cafes are able to use fresh local seafood and produce from the surrounding farming and horticultural areas. Locally-grown produce – including artisan cheeses and small goods, organic meat and vegetables - is available at the famous Whangarei Farmers/Growers market every Saturday morning. The city also has many good supermarkets, chain restaurants and fast food outlets.

The Roberts family has been in the marine business for over �0 years and there have been many fine yachts for overseas and local clients built in this yard.The yard has 30 hardstand sites and 30 finger marina berths. There is also a ��mtr boat shed available for hire, for any deck replacements, repairs and refits. The floating berths have wireless internet available, plus electricity and fresh water. CaLiBRe saiLsCalibre Sails owner David Parr has been building sails and canvas products here in New Zealand and around the world for a very long time. He began his career at Hood Sails in ��5 and has been involved in every Whitbread Round the World Yacht Race since then. He has participated in five America’s Cup campaigns, working in a dual capacity as sail maker and crew member. His career has taken him to England, Japan, United States and back to New Zealand. Even today he spends many weekends racing and sailing with local sailing clubs.

Working side by side with his trained staff, David builds carefully crafted sails with safety, longevity and performance in mind. He works with a range of fabrics from reliable Dacron’s to high end laminates. Sail shapes range from the standard cross cut design to the intricate tri-radical cut. He also applies this same level of competence to all repairs and alterations.

CHiLLTeCHLocally owned and operated by Richard Crum, Chilltech’s qualified refrigeration and air-conditioning engineers specialise in marine design installations, maintenance and repair.

Chilltech are agents for Isotherm, Frigoboat, York, Tecumseh, Sanden, Danfoss and Flica, they also custom build heat exchangers and Eutectic tanks. Their workshop is backed up by five fully equipped mobile workshops. The guys at Chilltech can custom make all flexible hoses using the appropriate fittings. They will design, build and install fridges from ��v DC to �30v AC as well as direct drive engine driven systems, from beer coolers to walk-in freezers on superyachts.
