~ 1 ~ what has Chaffey taught Me

Learning and gaining control over your life involves learning and then successfully applying a number of self-determination skills, such as goal-setting, understanding your abilities and disabilities, problem-solving, and self-advocacy. The personal process of learning, using, and self-evaluating these skills in a variety of settings is at the heart of self-determination. I am doing my Associates degree in Business Administration and Management here at Chaffey. Chaffey helped me in discovering and setting the academic and career goals by reaching the high expectations to meet the challenges also by understanding the abilities and disabilities inside me. A combination of teachers, education system, people and events helped me in maintaining the customary standards. I have seen people who have the courage and potential to be successful in life. And Chaffey has taught me that the aspiration is the rationality of life and living standards.The faculty at Chaffey is very helpful especially the business departments teachers. They taught me a great way to check if you are lining yourself up for success is hard work and made me Learn to accept the mistakes. Also the education system at Chaffey teaches the entire students fraternity to believe that your worth is great and tell yourself you can do everything and know your power". Summer school sessions at Chaffey provided a stepping stone for future success. People say Success builds upon itself. This was my start to expecting to do well in school. Sometimes we dont have the knowledge needed to overcome the obstacles in receiving the good education. I have been constantly drilled and taught that never to say "I can't" at anything I try.. Successful people use creative strategies to reach their goals. The intact system of Chaffey and the counseling department encouraged me understanding that I am still in the process of learning to stretch but I can always start and gain my personal experience by identifying what I can already do, what I am comfortable doing and feel good about. That really gave me a sense of motivation to meet the challenges. Another fundamental activity that I gained during my academia at Chaffey is to improve good teamwork capabilities. I have observed the positive aspect of teamwork that results in better communication skills and cooperation. The group projects that the students are responsible for are really very helpful in boosting the class room skills. These group projects bring together the team with different ideas and viewpoints which for sure affects the direction of team. Chaffey taught me knowing and valuing yourself, setting goals, and planning helps building the important foundations, but in doing so wise actions are required to make the dreams the goals to achieve good education. One of my teachers from Chaffey guided me how to take control of life and to take necessary decisions in choosing the appropriate action. When I was new to the college, and while attending the Orientation given by International student office for the international students the coordinator wanted students to jot down the following lines for future guidance.. I keep those lines still with me as they are the useful advice from someone who is more experienced than me.. Nothing worthwhile comes without risk. Without risk, success cannot be achieved. Never give up. Do not pity yourself for what cards you have been dealt. It happened... now move on. That moment of insecurity is worth the achievement in the end. It is important to keep that in mind throughout life.In the end I just want to Thank Chaffey for the guidance and right direction to move further and successfully in the academia.
