QUESTION: WHAT WAS LEARNT:

Q1) How often doyou visit thecinema per month?

I found out here that 70% of my demographic visit the cinema more than twice a month. This means that there is heavy interest in films. When I create my video trailer it will appeal to my demographic, even if they go to the cinema less than once a month.

Q2) What genre of film do you enjoy watching?

the most popular was horror, shortly followed by thriller, coming of age, action and thenfinally chick flick. Horror and thriller sounds like the genre I have to replicate in my trailer toappeal to most of my demographic. I found both boys and girls ticked boxes for both horrorand thriller making it non-biased towards a particular gender. When looking statistically atthe results of the “OTHER” category, I found the genres listed with a joint score of 5 timeseach were “SUPERNATURAL” and “SCIENCE FICTION.

Q3) Favouritefilms?

The most popular film listed was Paranormal activity, shortly followed by the hangover and mean girls. The favourite films listed are all so varied, so to draw any conclusions I will have to relate it back to results found from previous questions.

Q4) Why are they your favourite?

I learnt that my demographic liked convincing and realistic films, mysterious characters,

Q5) Favouriteactresses

VERY VARIED – from Rachel McAdams, to Michael Cera. They like wide variations of different characters.

Here audience feedback taught mehow I divided the page up structurallyhad the desired effect on mydemographic.

It also pointed out an unnecessaryborder created from importing animage edited on Photoshop into indesign. This allowed me to reflect andimprove on my work, by changing thesaturation of the backgrounds.

I also took onboard the criticism ofusing less fonts and making the imagecentral as opposed to the left handside of the page.
