WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: We are looking for enthusiastic, creative, articulate, confident and reliable students who can demonstrate an understanding of blogging and social media. It’s an honour to be selected for this prestigious national program! Applicants can be engaged at any level of study within your institution and must originate from Brazil, Canada, China, Gulf States, India, Malaysia or the USA. This year we are highlighting Global Issues as our ‘star programme’ within the blog, and especially encourage students involved in these programmes to apply to become Student Ambassadors. You can find out more about which courses that fall under the ‘Global Issues’ category here: http://www.educationinireland.com/en/What-can-I- study-/Global-Issue-Programmes/ Former ambassadors are not eligible. WHAT WE ASK FROM THE AMBASSADORS: While we are always cognisant of the fact that the ambassador is a student first, we do expect commitment to this prestigious programme. The selected ambassadors must attend the (fun!) training day which will be held in Griffith College Dublin on Saturday 15 2014 from 10.30am to 6pm (times TBC).

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for enthusiastic, creative, articulate, confident and reliable students who can demonstrate an understanding of blogging and social media.

You can find out more about which courses that fall under the ‘Global Issues’ category here: http://www.educationinireland.com/en/What-can-I-study-/Global-Issue-Programmes/

Former ambassadors are not eligible.

WHAT WE ASK FROM THE AMBASSADORS:

While we are always cognisant of the fact that the ambassador is a student first, we do expect commitment to this prestigious programme. The selected ambassadors must attend the (fun!) training day which will be held in Griffith College Dublin on Saturday 15 2014 from 10.30am to 6pm (times TBC).Ambassadors will be asked to provide at least one blog per semester and to interact with other ambassadors on the blog and through the programme’s social networks as well as with prospective students (all of which will be clearly explained during the training day). Ambassadors may also be requested to represent Trinity College Dublin at certain events.

Taking part in this programme offers many benefits to the Ambassador: their

work will be very widely circulated nationally and internationally. They will be invited to a high-level national award ceremony, and Education in Ireland will be happy to endorse them on LinkedIn and other sites, offer references and work with them as alumni in the future.

WHAT WE WILL PROVIDE:

Education in Ireland will provide full technical and editorial support to the Ambassadors. They will have access throughout the year to our Co-ordinator and Programme Manager. We will also ensure that all content is widely distributed on all our social media channels and we will work with our PR agencies in each country to ensure that the ambassadors get as much coverage in their own countries as possible.

KEY DATES:

Friday 10 October 2014: Deadline for submission of applications to Trinity Global Room ([email protected])

Saturday 15 November 2014: Training Day @ Griffith College Dublin from 10.30am – 6pm
