Somewhere Down The Lachlan Sculpture Trail Opening Where: Victoria Park Time: On dark The SDL committee will be projecting a video on the Town Hall on Friday night. All are welcome to come along and watch the image on the Harold Street exterior of the Town Hall.

Forbes Open Gardens Where: Various Locations Time: 9am-5pm Cost: $20 for all gardens, or $5 per each individual garden. Wrist bands will be sold at the first garden only. The Forbes Horticultural Society and Garden Club Inc. present their 10th annual non-competitive Open Gardens in 2017, following last year’s cancelled event due to floods. A one-day event for the public to view 8 local gardens, generously opened by the owners. Rain, hail or shine, it will go ahead beginning at Forbes North School Vegie Garden, Thomson/York Streets. Morning tea (9am-12pm, Forbes North School) and a BBQ lunch (11.45am-2pm, “Brooklyn”, Victory’s Road) will be available on the day, at own cost.

Forbes Motorshow Where: South Circle Time: 10am to 2pm (Gates open at 8am for registration for motorshow) Cost: $2 per adult and $1 per child Bikes, cars, boats, vintage machinery, trucks and tractors on show. Also on the day there will be Brownie’s DJ, children’s activities, BBQ, food and drink stalls, trade stalls, local and regional car clubs, speedway cars and tyre changing competition. Ticket prize draws throughout the day and much more. Trophies and prizes in 25 categories.

This group doesn’t have a name yet with participants to choose what to call it. This is a chance for you to meet people, try a craft, learn to cook, swap clothes and discuss a range of topics including women’s and children’s health, budgeting and lots more.
