  2. 2. The White StripesThe White Stripesformed in 1997 andhad many years ofvery stylised fame upuntil 2011.The group, as its namesuggests, had a strongnovelty that wassticking to the boldcolour pallet of redwhite and black. Thisidea they got from theconfectionery thePeppermint Swirl.

Thetriangles speed up and slow downwith the tempo of the song. ThisMusic video also connotes the styleof the band with its alternativestylised chic and almost punk likechaos.

This was thethird ever White Stripes video to be made,directed by Michel Gondry. The music videowas created using pixilation animation to makethe effect of many drum kits and amplifiersmultiplying to the rhythm of the song as Jackand Meg perform it. There is also a shortcameo of Beck (the artist) at 2:25. The songshows again there diverse and personalisedstyle. Jack White and Meg White, also sportingthere red, white and black costumes, haveinstruments with the signature red white andblack; mainly the bass drum with thepeppermint swirl painted on it.
