From the LiteratureStudents report:• they find LC valuable (Buxton 2006, Bassili and Joordens 2008)

• an improved learning experience (Ambikairajah et al. 2006)

• a useful enhancement which helps them achieve better results(McElroy and Blount 2006, Soong et al. 2006, Gosper et al. 2007)

• use of LC correlates with improved performance (although possibly not the only factor)(Yunus et al. 2006, Bassili and Joordens 2008)

• higher satisfaction with their course (Bassili and Joordens 2008)

Students use LC for:• convenience and practicality, note-taking aid, review and revision

(Winer and Cooperstock 2002, Brotherton and Abowd 2004, Ambikairajah et al. 2006, McElroy and Blount 2006, Simpson 2006, Soong et al. 2006)

• Students with disabilities seem to find particular value(Williams 2006)
