PENN ACTIVITY CENTER has been a major asset to William Penn University since the fall of 2008.

The $16-million, 50,000-square foot fi eldhouse con-tains over 45 yards of turf and two full-sized basketball courts. The PAC also has an area for cardiovascular equipment that overlooks the fl oor from the east. A nearly 300-yard running/walking track surrounds the entire complex on the second fl oor.

The adjoining building also houses many classrooms, offi ces, locker rooms, and the Athletic Training room.

William Penn UniversityFounded by Quakers in 1873, William Penn University is a private, liberal arts college in the southeastern Iowa town of Oskaloosa.

With a proud history of diversity, the University currently boasts students from over 40 states and 15 countries. With a 17:1 professor-to-student ratio, the small classes sizes are ideal for a rich learning environment. Always seeking to provide access to higher education, the University actively recruited Japanese-American students from relocation camps. Recently, William Penn University has built a relationship with the African country of Rwanda with several students traveling thousands of miles to attend the Oskaloosa campus.

A blue-collar community with a rich agricultural background, Oskaloosa is proud to be the headquarters of the world famous Musco Sports Lighting Company. Prominent businesses such as Clow Valve, Pepsi Bottling, Paslode, Cablevey and many others also call Oskaloosa home.

Oskaloosa, the county seat of Mahaska County, is just 60 miles southeast of Des Moines, Iowa’s capital city, and within hours of the metropolitan cities of Chicago, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Kansas City, and Omaha.

Oskaloosa hosts many great community events, such as the Lighted Christmas Parade, Art on the Square, Friday After Five, Sweet Corn Serenade, and others.
