Enrolling in Benefits
Tips for Ensuring a Smooth Enrollment Process
1. Look for helpful hints at the top of each step within the Open Enrollment process
2. At the bottom of each step you will see “Continue” to go to the next step, “Go Back” to go to a previous
step, and “Save for Later” to save your elections and return later to complete
Accessing Open Enrollment
1. When the 2018 open enrollment process has been launched you will receive an email notice. You may
access the enrollment via the link in the email or you can access through Workday. You will find a
message in your Workday inbox which will enable you to start the Benefits Enrollment process
a. From the InsideCSG home page, select “Workday” under “Links” or access at
https://wd5.myworkday.com/csgi
b. Log in using your LAN ID and password (if applicable).
c. View your Inbox and select the action item for Open Enrollment Change

Health Options
1. Select the dependents you will be covering for Medical, Dental, Vision, and Prescriptions Insurance.
Select Waive if you do not want to be covered or Elect if you do require coverage.
***If waiving medical you must elect the plan USA – Medical – United Health Care EAP (No Medical
Election)
2. Once you select the dependents you will see the level of coverage populate.

Adding a Dependent
1. You now need to verify/enter the names of any dependents to be covered. Click on the Prompt icon
in the Enroll Dependents search field.
2. Select Existing Dependents if you already have dependents in Workday
3. Select Add My Dependent from Enrollment if you need to add a new one. If you have already added
this data to Workday as an emergency contact or Beneficiary you will be able to select Yes and
select the appropriate contact. This will populate some data for you. All additional dependents will
need to be added. Once this information is entered into Workday you will be able to access it during
future Benefit Enrolment periods.

5. Continue adding the required dependents until all names are visible under Existing Dependents
Health Savings Account
1. If you are enrolling in either HDHP Consumer Managed Plan’s you are able to elect contributing to a
Health Savings Account (HSA). Age 55 and above may also contribute to the HSA – Catch Up.
a. If you were enrolled in a HSA for 2017 your annual contribution will not default for 2018.
You must actively make a change.
b. To receive the CSG Contribution to your HSA, you must enroll in the HSA plan. If you wish
not to contribute, elect and contribute $0.00

Spending Accounts
1. From this screen, you can elect your Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA’s): Health Care FSA, Limited
Purpose Health Care FSA, and Dependent Care FSA.
a. If you were enrolled in any FSA plans your election will default to Waive for this enrollment.
You must actively enroll in these programs each year.
b. If enrolling in either HDHP Consumer Managed medical plans, you may not enroll in the
Health Care FSA but you can enroll in the Limited Purpose Health Care FSA for dental/vision
expenses.
c. Dependent Care FSA is available for any employee with a qualifying dependent who requires
care so they can attend school or work outside the home

Insurance Plans
1. Select if you are a tobacco user or non-tobacco user
2. You are required to select Elect or Waive for Supplemental Life, Supplemental AD&D (Employee) or
Supplemental AD&D (Family), Long Term Disability Option 1 (50%) or Option 2 (66.67%), Spouse
Dependent Life, and Child (ren) Dependent Life.
a. Basic Life and Basic AD&D are company provided benefits
3. If you have elected to have coverage you need to identify what level of coverage you require.
4. Click on the Prompt icon in the Coverage search field to select the type of coverage.
5. If you elect Spouse Dependent Life or Child (ren) Dependent Life you will need to verify/enter the names
of any dependents to be covered. Click on the Prompt icon in the Enroll Dependents search field.
6. Select from your Existing Dependents or Add My Dependent from Enrollments (steps outlined above
under Health Options)

Beneficiary Designations
1. You must specify at least on beneficiary for any insurance plans elected. Click on the Prompt icon
in the Beneficiary search field.
2. Select existing Beneficiary Person or Trust if you already have entered in Workday
3. Select Create if you need add a new one.
a. Select Add Beneficiary
***Complete required information – will need to provide Legal Name and Address under
Contact Information (either use existing address or add new)

6. Your total percentage for all primary beneficiaries must equal 100%. You can’t designate a beneficiary
as both Primary and Contingent
7. You can optionally designate one or more contingent beneficiaries. Your total percentage for all
contingent beneficiates must equal 100%.
Additional Benefits
1. Employee Assistance Program (EAP) will default to Elect and Coverage level. Elect or Waive for Legal.

Completing the Process
1. This screen summarizes all the elections and benefits that apply to you. Please check that this reflects
the benefits that you want to receive for the forthcoming year before selecting Submit.
a. If message received regarding Evidence of Insurability – an email will be sent in early December
directing to UNUM’s application. Once application submitted UNUM will contact directly if further
information is needed.

2. You can Print this final screen as a record of your benefits for the forthcoming year or select Done.
Once the Benefit Election period is closed, your benefit elections will be reviewed and any changes will
be communicated with the providers and payroll. Elections will take effect January 1st.
3. Once your enrollment has been submitted the action item will no longer appear in your Workday
Inbox. If you need to make changes before the enrollment period is closed go to your Workday
homepage, access the Benefits Worklet, and select Change Open Enrollment.
