Neighborhood Center Ufafabrik Berlin since 1987

History ufaFabrik combines living, work, culture,

creativity and sensible social aspects

• 1979 ufa-film studios in Tempelhof closed down “Factory for culture, sports and crafts”, 100 people squatted in the 18,000 m²

property They started self-help groups, different activities rooms for martial arts, dancing, and health

issues.

1987 Neighborhood Centre ufaFabrik was established

• Grandparents, parents and children play, cook and bake together

• Gain new experiences and make new contacts. • A family therapist offers consultations

“Including Community” • We involve people with learning disabilities in our

neighborhood work and opened courses for them. The background of our project is the UN Disability Rights Convention.

Farm Club - Volunteering at the Children's Farm

• Intergenerational project for seniors, retirees and children with the aim of “creating new things” and getting information about ecology and animals.

children’s party earlier in the day.
