OVERVIEW
TIME AND PLACE Saturday 1st December 2012, Intercontinental Hotel, Doha, Qatar.
PURPOSE The 2012 World Climate Summit in Doha, Qatar during COP 18, is positioned as the most prominent and exclusive business conference convening leaders across corporates, finance and government to accelerate large-scale solutions to climate change.
TARGET GROUP The high-level conference is aimed at the climate arena’s leading decision-makers, CEOs, thought-leaders, business executives, investors, entrepreneurs, government officials, and philanthropic figures.
FORMAT The Summit will focus on the overarching theme of accelerating solutions to global green growth and climate change, addressing the sectors of: finance and scale; public-private partnerships; renewable energy; legislation and policy; cities and regions; transportation; carbon pricing; energy efficiency; and business leadership. The Summit will span over one day and will consist of the following elements: • Key note plenary sessions addressing the major global green growth issues (CEO level) • Interactive workshops and breakout sessions (C-level) • A series of exclusive roundtables (CEO level) • Orchestrated matchmaking, networking and exhibiting

COP 18 The World Climate Summit is the high-profile and largest business event of COP 18 and will take place in close proximity to the official negotiations. As a high-level conference that predominantly focuses on accelerating the global green economy on a global scale, the Summit falls in line and complements the remit of the UNFCCC.
