On August 17th, 2011, our Signature Service Taber office celebrated their grand-opening at our new location 5217 47th Avenue.

It was quite the rush to get everything done and organized, considering we had just finished moving in this new building only days before! It couldn’t have been done without the hard work of the Taber team who helped with furniture, decorating, set up and organization. We had

many visitors, both old and new.

The food was prepared by Luigi’s in Taber, offering us fresh veggies, chicken wings (yummy!), calamari, sausage rolls and a few more goodies and I have to say I have been to a few catered events and this one was well done. Coaldale Bakery supplied us with the buttercream/custard cake with our colors and our slogan “We live here” emblazoned for everyone to see.

We even had a visit from a reporter of the Taber times who came to do a few interviews with Patrick, Heleen & Yvonne. The new office has been received with rave reviews, everyone is excited about what is up and coming within our Signature Service Real Estate Family and we all look forward to the phenomenal success of this new location.

In June 2011, Signature Service Real Estate introduced WOW Impact, a very intense prospecting and activity building training program. Three fund raising organizations in North Battleford, ‘Donate to Irrigate,’ the Cuplex Raise the Roof project and the Nico Hawryliw Fund, hosted a celebrity sportsman fundraiser August 14th and 15th which featured two Boston Bruin legends, Wayne Cashman and Gerry Cheevers. These two great hockey players were invited

by our own Bruins and SSRE legend Gregg Sheppard.

“It was good to be able to help these great groups,” said Sheppard, who played for the Bruins from 1972-1978 and then the Pittsburgh Penguins until 1982. Nearly $25,000 was raised through a charity breakfast, dinner, golf scramble autograph sessions and an auction over the two days of events.

A domain name that is! Choosing your domain name and how you can be found on the world wide web is one of the most important marketing decisions you will make in your Real Estate career. The first place people go to when looking to buy or sell a home is online. Why not ensure you are being found everywhere they look!

At SSRE Moose Jaw the agents are buying up relevant domain names to help increase their presence on the world wide web. Most people’s first thought is “Why would I buy a bunch of domain names, then I just have to upkeep a bunch of different websites??” BUT what you can do is have a domain name redirected to your personal SSRE website, no upkeep, just more exposure. Once purchased, you can have it directed ANYWHERE you choose, it can go to your Facebook site, your listings…..anything. All those inquires/leads go straight to you!! Just make sure what you choose as a Domain name is relevant to the customer needs, and not your own. For instance. Firsttimehomebuyer.com is good for an agent’s purposes, but an ACTUAL first time home Buyer will not search that. They will search affordablemjhomes.com or something similar. Invest in multiple Domain names/URLs. The more the merrier!!

Doreen Lloyd of the Coaldale office shows her heart and giving nature by being part of the Communities in Bloom program. Doreen was born & raised in Coaldale and loves her community which is why she donates so much of her time to the efforts in our town.

Communities in Bloom was created to increase pride & involvement in each the community. Year round projects have been going on in Coaldale for a few years now. For example: banners & planters on our light posts, flower planters in front of business’ wishing to be involved, and trees along main street with plaques in memorandum. There are many volunteers who come out every year to get ready for the provincial judging. Judges come to communities who are registered with the program, get a tour of what each town has to offer, which in turn awards are given out and the opportunity to be represented in the national event. Doreen created a gorgeous scrap book with many many pictures, awards and dedications to what Coaldale has to offer, and was told by the judges that our little community had the best presentation so far! Go Coaldale!!

There is a wide and diverse group young & old who participate every year with weeding in our many gardens, making sure all areas are kept clean & taken care of. The goal this program looks for is for everyone to have pride and ownership, to teach our younger generation to take care of where we live, and appreciate who we are & where we live.

Once a quarter the Brokers and management team of Signature Service Real Estate get together to brainstorm and collaborate on the support, technology and training tools. Each session is hosted at a different branch office location, giving the other Brokers and managers an opportunity to learn more about the host office, the sales associates and the community.

Our most recent meeting was held in the wonderful city of Moose Jaw. We found our two day workshop filled with sunshine and cool breezes. Matt Dominguez, Michelle L. and Michelle K. did a fantastic job making everyone feel welcome and facilitating the group for the two day meeting. The ability to share good ideas and collaborate on implementation with such an amazing team has led to some great innovation that you have already seen in your branch offices and many more that will be coming down the pipeline soon.

Keep in mind that we service a large territory with varying real estate boards in two provinces. Having access to the perspective of the Managing Brokers of 11 Branch Offices, the Marketing Director, and the IT Director is a significant advantage. Always remember that the Brokers have an open door policy. We truly appreciate hearing your ideas and comments, as we will to take these to our leadership meetings and turn them into action.

An anonymous survey will be sent out to all of our sales associates and staff members before our next leadership meeting so that we can focus more closely on innovation and making your Brokerage about serving you and helping your business grow. We hope that we can count on 100% participation.

“An idea must come from somewhere, because if it merely stays where it is and doesn’t join us here, it’s hidden. And hidden ideas don’t ship, have no influence, no intersection with the market. They die, alone.” - Seth Godin
