About carpooling

Nowadays, the practice of carpooling is becoming more and more popular. Fro

m this picture, we can find that many people are enthusiastic about carpooling

for the following reasons. Firstly, it helps to reduce vehicle emissions and thus i

s environmentally friendly. Secondly, it is a practical way for each carpooler to

reduce the huge paying burden of driving respectively (各自地) . Thirdly, ca

rpoolers can get to their destinations more quickly than before because there w

ill be few traffic jams with few cars on the way. Besides their positive attitudes t

owards carpooling, from this picture, we can also find measures are usually tak

en to avoid possible negative problems caused by carpooling. For example, an a

greement is signed before carpooling to ensure safety and clarify obligations.

In my personal opinion, carpooling between friends and relatives should be enc

ouraged because it could relieve traffic pressure and make private cars more ef

ficient. Meanwhile, carpooling between strangers should be properly guided. It

is better for every carpooler to check others’ credentials every time you carry o

ut the practice.
