Writing Competition for Primary School Students Target Group: Primary 4 – 6 Students Genre: An imaginative story Details: 1. Use the attached writing paper. (Schools are welcomed to make copies for their students.) 2. The essay should be written on one side of a page. 3. Complete the entry form and submit all entries with the envelop provided, by mail or by hand, on or before the closing date. 4. The word limit is 150 words. 5. No more than one entry will be accepted from each student of each participating school. 6. Only original work may be submitted. 7. Entries submitted will not be returned. Closing Date: 28th March, 2019 (Thursday) Prizes: 1. First-class honour: the first 3% of top scoring candidates 2. Second-class honour: the next 3% of top scoring candidates 3. Third-class honour: the next 3% of top scoring candidates 4. 5 individual Certificates of Merit for each school. Result Announcement: Results will be announced in early May,2019 by mail and online at www.cys.edu.hk. Winners will be invited to the prize-giving ceremony on our Speech Day on 24th May, 2019. Judging Criteria: Content: 40% Language: 40% Creativity: 20% Judging Panel: The competition will be judged by a panel of judges from our English Department and the NET Section of the Education Bureau. All decisions will be final.
